You are best off speaking to your Internet Service Provider about this. Both of these domains are BT in some way, but I dont think the MX records are the same.
MX records are "pointers" on the Internet that direct email to the relevant location. If the pointers are the same for both BTOpenworld.com and BTInternet.com, then it should make no difference. If the pointers are different, then you cannot.
Either way, I would suggest you speak to you ISP first.
