I have loaded BT Total Broadband Option 1 but now can't access my Yahoo email only btinternet email.?

Had new stationary printed with yahoo email address but every time I try I can only get into BTYahoo. Any help really welcome as I know I have two urgent emails to respond to.

I had the same problem but opposite mail servers


i was on broadband option 1


and i had a @btinternet.com


email address,a change of billing account


meant i had to re- register and wait for bband


to be activated again -about 2weeks it took


so in the meantime i temporarily signed up with a pay as you go dial up[modem]and found i could not access my mail@btinternet.com


so i started a mail@yahoo.co.uk address


on dial up instead,with the intentions of returning back to normal once i reloaded bt.broadband and the line was activated-NO WAY NOT THAT SIMPLE!I removed all trace of internet and network configurations and done a complete new install of bt.bband including my old bt user or email name and password ,logged in ."password is incorrect" logged in again "bt does not recognise the user name"logged in again "this user name has allready been taken"i contacted bt and was advised to leave both the user name and password fields empty in the set up on cd,so i reinstalled again-This time I ended up with the first part of my new yahoo address and the second part was @btinternet.com


ie:[john.smith@btinternet.com] -then-[smith.john@yahoo.co.uk]-finally -[smith.john@btinternet.com]


now i could not log into either email addresses


or sign in at all,i ripped the whole lot out,and i am currently on dial up pay as you go with Virgin.net-lol and a virgin.net email address,it is probably costing a small fortune but Hey


what price is too much to pay if its for the loss of all the stress and headaches i got trying to reconnect with bt,i dont care if its a pound a minute 5pound a minute-its worth it!lol again





ps:if you email me with the type of router/modem you use


and any other specifications you have to hand,i will see if the info i collected from bt is relevant to your connection,you dont need to send me your personal email address,as the info i have is about connection types and logging in ,i can give you the basic info[if i have it ] and then you just input the private stuff in yourself at your end!
Reply:Your Yahoo email is safe. Make google your home page through your Internet explorer and type in www.yahoo.co.uk or take this link http://www.yahoo.co.uk and sign in your YAHOO not your BTYAHOO id on the sign in page this will take you to your yahoo mail you will be able to respond to your two urgent mails. (A friend of mine has a Btyahoo account and a yahoo email account plus his own website email).

Reply:bt e mail has made itself the default mail client but you should still get to your yahoo mail from yahoo home page..mozilla firefox may have something to do with it ?...nobody can stop yahoo sending mail to your pc
