i need a free email address - just want to know if i get to keep this one or should i set up a new one?
I have a btinternet.com email a/c which i got when i got btbroadband. if i cancel brbd will i lose the address
You will lose that email when you cancel your service. This is why I don't have email through my ISP; I purchased my own domain ($72 for 10 years) so that I can swith companies and keep my same mail address. Of the free web based mails, gmail is great, and you can download the mail to many mail programs so that you don't need to remain online to read all of your mail.

Reply:depends on how closely the admins monitor email accounts. i cancelled my tds.net braodband service for over one year but still was able to use the mail account. came home one day, though, and it was no longer working.
